Afternoon Coffee Break – with Pat Babcock

Change Strategies to Help Protect Michigan’s Vulnerable Children

When: Wednesday September 30, 2009

Time: 2-3:30pm (Eastern Standard Time)

Where: Community Room, Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette, MI

Join us for an informal presentation by former State Services Director and Child Welfare Improvement Task Force member Pat Babcock for an outline of seven strategies to improve the safety, health and educational status of vulnerable children in the state of Michigan.

This event is free, but your RSVP to Paul Olson at 906-228-8919 ext. 29 or polson@glcyd.org is greatly appreciated for planning purposes.

The Child Welfare Improvement Task Force, co-chaired by Babcock, was an 89-member panel charged with conducting a comprehensive assessment of Michigan’s child welfare policies and programs and to make recommendations based on measurable outcomes for the development and transition of children who are or may begin receiving child welfare services. The Task Force report, which was issued in April 2009, advances seven change strategies to improve the safety and health, mental health and educational status of vulnerable children.
