The purpose of the Upper Peninsula Children's Coalition is to work with all Upper Peninsula organizations and individuals concerned with children in order to identify children's needs, promote their services and rights, and provide long-range planning for positive change.

Membership:

The U.P. Children's Coalition is a membership organization open to all public or private agencies and individuals. Currently, the Coalition consists of representatives from programs such as school districts, courts, law enforcement, social service and mental health agencies, substance abuse, health care, non-profit agencies, and individual concerned citizens.

The UPCC is governed by a Coordinating Committee composed of a cross-section of its membership. The Coordinating Committee sets the Coalition agenda and acts in a leadership role; however, all business affairs are brought before the full coalition.
